Blogging???

Blogging..Blogging..Blogging… ZZZzzzzzzz

I never thought that I could actually write a simple blog, for I find it difficult to express myself through words, pathetic isn’t it?!  But one time our professor required our class to do some blog, but it’s not just blog, you have to relate it to every topic in our class. I was like in a big trouble back then, for I don’t even know how to write a blog, I have no idea what dos and don’ts in the blogging, in short I don’t know the whole blogging thing. But thanks to our professor, she introduced the blogging world to us, she patiently taught us from the basics (e.g template) and up to the main blog.

During my first blog, it really took me in ages just to finish it. I really tried my best to think outside the box, I tried to be as creative as I could, and I tried to make my blog interesting (well this is my main goal).  At first I thought it’s okay just to “copy paste” from some other websites, but our professor warned us that in the blogging world it’s a sin to “copy paste” (it’s called plagiarism), they would know if your work is originally made by yourself, through this plagiarism checker they would detect if your work is original or not, how cool isn’t it? I thought these things are what I’ve learned in the edublogging, it let me become more patient, creative and independent.

Now that I’m writing this blog, I could say that I improved, I can actually express myself not just in actions or music but more importantly is that I can now express myself in words. As our semester is nearly finished, I consider blogging as a regular hobby, I will continue to write more blogs that I’m really interested of, and maybe I could write blogs that will help other people that are inclined with my chosen profession. Our professor use to say this quote “Learning is Retention and Application”, well I will always keep it in my heart and mind :)

The A Team

I would like to share with you a song that is entitled “The A Team”. It was sung and composed by Ed Sheeran, an English singer, songwriter and producer. This song is about drug addiction, a girl named Angel is an addict homeless teenager chose to sell her body (sleep with random men and paid) to support her addiction, and she’s doing it for years. She hates her life, her job but she has no choice because she’s already addict, she can’t help herself but to sleep with men for her to supply herself with some addictive drugs and then she died at the end. According to Ed Sheeran he wrote this song, it was an experience when they conduct a gig in a homless shelter, he was 18 years old back then. The meaning behind the title of his song is "A drug like crack cocaine is called a 'class A' drug. That's in the same categoryas heroin. Instead of making it clear and just saying what the problem was, I'dsay, 'She's in the 'class A' team.' It was kind of my way of covering up (aperson's addiction), I guess, making it a bit more subtle." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_A_Team_(song)). Stated by Ed Sheeran in a video interview with Billboard.

Drug Dependence vs. Drug addiction

This two terms if you would not analyze it well it seems like they are just synonyms, but they are different Drug Dependence is the case wherein a person depends on a certain drugs for him/her to function well, for example if you experience toothache every now and then you take some anti inflammatory drugs for you to ease the pain, you are losing the sense of tolerance, deep inside your mind you think that if you will not take a drugs your pain will not subside. While in Drug Addiction is a compulsive use of drugs or substances regardless if it contains bad or negative effects on your body. Best example of addictive drugs is the cocaine which I’ve stated above.

COCAINE

Also known as Flakes, Snow, Blow or Coke. It is a powerful addictive drug that could make you lose control of your nervous system ,it is a hydrochloride powder which is processed to composed a rock crystal and there it is usually smoked. There are allot of alternative ways on how to use this drugs it could be injected, smoked, and snorted. The effect of this drugs is that it make one person hyper, energetic and feeling euphoric other effects are body temperature, heart rate and blood pressure increases that could lead to heart attack, seizure, respiratory failure, strokes, nausea and abdominal pain, and there are also cases reported death especially in the first time users or overuse/overdose.

Hormonal Imbalance

Since I enter the puberty age, allot of changes takes place on my body or called maturation. Development of the breast, widening of my hips, hair in the pubic part and armpit starts to thicken and the biggest and most awaited part of this stage is the menstruation. Menstruation happens every four weeks or once every month. But one more change happened or appeared on my face (PIMPLES), at first I thought it was just normal and it happened to every female that undergo this stage but as I grow up I expect these pimples will get rid off of  my face, but instead of being less, it gets worst. Allot of beauty products were endorsed on me and I’ve been into allot of dermatologist but none of these was the solution on my problem

My friend suggested me to go to an Ob Gynecologist, at first I’m not aware that I can get a check up to an OB because all I know is that only pregnant women are their concern. So I go to an OB and she told me that these pimples were caused of the Hormonal Imbalance. Hormone is a substance that is produce in one part of the body or more specifically in the Endocrine Gland, it passes through the bloodstream and send it to the other organs or tissues, wherein it acts as to modify their function. Growth hormone from the pituitary gland, Corticosteroids from the adrenal gland, Androgen from the testes or also called as the male hormone and Progesterone and Estrogen or also called the female hormone these are some examples of the hormones. In my case, my hormones (progesterone and estrogen) are not in balance one of them is more elevated and also my doctor said that I have an elevated androgen which is the male hormone (and it is kinda weird) that’s the reason why I have excessive pimples and I have hairsutism (which is an abnormal growth of hair in other part of the body like in the face).  My doctor prescribed me to take pills (contraceptive pill) because this drug let the hormone balances and it will prevent the unstoppable growth of pimples and facial hair. For about 3 month I could observe that my pimples are starting to lighten and when I’m having my menstruation, the growth are now moderate and controllable.
