Hormonal Imbalance
Since I enter the puberty age, allot of changes takes place on
my body or called maturation. Development of the breast, widening of my hips, hair
in the pubic part and armpit starts to thicken and the biggest and most awaited
part of this stage is the menstruation. Menstruation
happens every four weeks or once every month. But one more change happened or
appeared on my face (PIMPLES), at first I thought it was just normal and it
happened to every female that undergo this stage but as I grow up I expect
these pimples will get rid off of my
face, but instead of being less, it gets worst. Allot of beauty products were endorsed
on me and I’ve been into allot of dermatologist but none of these was the
solution on my problem.

My friend suggested me to go to an Ob Gynecologist, at first
I’m not aware that I can get a check up to an OB because all I know is that
only pregnant women are their concern. So I go to an OB and she told me that
these pimples were caused of the Hormonal Imbalance. Hormone is a substance
that is produce in one part of the body or more specifically in the Endocrine
Gland, it passes through the bloodstream and send it to the other organs or
tissues, wherein it acts as to modify their function. Growth hormone from the
pituitary gland, Corticosteroids from the adrenal gland, Androgen from the
testes or also called as the male hormone and Progesterone and Estrogen or also
called the female hormone these are some examples of the hormones. In my case, my
hormones (progesterone and estrogen) are not in balance one of them is more
elevated and also my doctor said that I have an elevated androgen which is the
male hormone (and it is kinda weird) that’s the reason why I have excessive
pimples and I have hairsutism (which is an abnormal growth of hair in other part
of the body like in the face). My doctor
prescribed me to take pills (contraceptive pill) because this drug let the
hormone balances and it will prevent the unstoppable growth of pimples and
facial hair. For about 3 month I could observe that my pimples are starting to lighten
and when I’m having my menstruation, the growth are now moderate and controllable.
